Switch Network Optimisation Service

The number of ‘true’ Switch Optimisation services delivered to operators is relatively small when compared to the number of switch performance audits delivered. One possible reason why this type of service is not so common is that very few people are capable of defining what a switch optimisation service should include.

There are many projects that have been labeled as ‘Switch Optimisation’, when in fact they are doing no more than monitoring standard KPI’s, producing performance reports and passing information to a support group, who may or may not have full appreciation of individual or combined statistics. The end result is that very few functions are optimised and no visible performance improvement can be verified. Unfortunately for those operators, this is a typical scenario that is played out in so many networks.

AXE SOS feels very confident to say that we have been involved in more ‘true’ Switch Optimisation projects than any other company outside of a small number of Ericsson service delivery units. We are also very confident to say that after so much experience optimising AXE and MGw networks that the content of our service is unmatched by any other groups attempting to deliver such services.

AXE SOS has a clearly defined set of functions for the switch optimisation service, but we are also listening to what operators expect from such a service. This set of functions is continuously being updated by our own initiatives as well as by the inputs of operators.
